We’re delighted to welcome dog trainer extroidinare Liz O’Mahony (www.animalsolutions.ie) to the Creedons Doggie Daycare team!! Liz, a member of APDT America, has been working as a dog trainer for over 20 years, and teaches using positive reinforcement methods, while drawing on her extensive knowledge with t-touch, essential oils, and Reiki for animals. Liz will be hosting a variety of dog training classes here on Monday evenings, and will be holding a dog clinic on the first Saturday of every month for dogs or owners that need that extra bit of one on one help.
All dogs are welcome on our courses, and each place booked is for one dog and two handlers. Feel free to reply to this email if you have any questions.

Beginners Obedience
Liz puts her twist on our very popular beginners obedience course. The Good Dog course is a fantastic way to gain control over your dog and strengthen the relationship between you and your pet.
During this course you will learn how to teach your dog the basic commands – sit, down, and stay, as well as recall, loose leash walking, jumping, and controlling your dog around other dogs.
This course is a must for new dog owners, or those at their wits end with an unruly dog!!

Puppy Power Hour
This course is open to puppies of all breeds and cross breeds under the age of 5 months on 30/1/12, older puppies are welcome on the Basic Obedience course. The course focuses on socialisation, basic commands, educating owners, and fun! It is so important to socialise your puppy in all different environments while they are in those early development stages, and this course will equip you with the knowledge to become great dog owners!

Advanced Obedience
This course is aimed at dog owners who have already taught their dogs the basics but are looking for a fun way to challenge their dogs mentally and physically, as well as strengthening the bond between dog and owner. This course tests you and your dogs skills in a variety of challenging situations, and we introduce clicker training and pre-agility tricks!

To secure your place on any of the above courses we require a €30 non-refundable deposit which must be paid in advance of the course commencing. Deposits can be paid over the phone with laser or credit card, cheque, or cash.
Dog Clinic – 1 on 1 sessions
Liz will be holding one on one sessions on the first Saturday of every month. These sessions MUST be booked in advance. These sessions are open to all types of dogs and owners – from new owners who just want a bit more one on one time, to reactive dogs that owners can no longer handle, and everything inbetween!!
Liz will draw on her extensive dog training knowledge and experience, and also has the option of adding essential oil therapy, t-touch training, and Reiki to the session if it is thought that this would help the dog. Private sessions are open to you and your whole family. They are aimed to deal with dogs with specific issues, or for dogs that would be more comfortable in a quiet dog free environment. They are also great for first time dog owners to cover all aspects of puppyhood in one session.
Our 1 on 1 training sessions are tailored to you and your dog's individual needs, so the more information you can provide us with, the better we can help you.
Our standard 1 on 1 session can include:
Loose Lead walking : Teach your dog to walk without pulling and start to enjoy your walks again.
Puppy Basics : Get lots of information on basic obedience, as well as essential puppy training tips.
No More Jumping Up : Teach your dog how to greet people politely, without jumping up or getting over-excited.
Reactive Rover : Learn how to manage your dog's reactivity in a safe, controlled environment. Suitable for dogs who growl, bark and/or lunge at other dogs.
Recall : Teach your dog to come back when called.
These sessions are also available to small groups who would like to work on the same issue, so feel free to get some friends together and treat yourself to a training session.
One on one sessions are also aimed at issues that our standard Dog Obedience Course wouldn't cover. If you are having issues introducing a new dog, have a new baby on the way, have a nervous dog, or have a dog with unique issues then the session will be tailored specifically to your dog.
Creedons Doggie Daycare is a progressive training academy, using ONLY positive reinforcement methods. Be VERY careful when choosing a trainer for you and your dogs. Punishment and aggression (or the dreaded ‘dominance' outdated term) have no place in productive dog training, so run in the opposite direction when you hear these terms!
All classes at Creedons are held in our indoor, heated centre with specialised flooring and equipment. We offer one on one sessions, workshops, pay as you go classes, and progressive four week courses.
